Cook Strait Line Dancers

Cook Strait Line Dancers

Our group has been operating since 1998 in the Wellington area.

Line dancing classes are held at Seatoun, Houghton Bay and Lower Hutt suburbs. To check out where and what the time's are, for these classes, just click on the icon "Services" and all the details are there for you.

In the Line Dancing scene we are known as the "Cookies" and we enjoy our dancing and friendships we make around the country. Yes! we travel up the North Island and down the South Island, attending line dancing events and workshops. We enjoy learning new dances and like to dance to all kinds of music, not just country.

OurClub Mascot is "Cookie Bear" and he travels with us everywhere. You can see him on our home page with Art Deco Bootscooters (Napier) mascot "Elle".

Around the Wellington area we demonstrate line dancing at School Fairs, Retirement Homes, Festivals, Corporate functions and at private parties. We were mentioned on the Wellington Chinese Sports & Cultural Centerweb page. http://www.wcscc.org.nz/jubilee.shtml

Thanks to the "LOCAL" Bar & Cafe in Strathmore, who helped give us sponsorship towards our club jackets.

You can see some of our members dancing "MAN EATER" on YouTube: http://youtube.com/watch?v=HBljXDtuWgI

with Susan Picking who choreographed this dance and her mother Margaretfrom Feilding.

Our main MOTTO for our group is having FUN! and live life to the fullest.
